Karin Marley is the owner of KM Beauty Refinery and a Master Lash Artist with over a decade of experience creating customized, natural-looking lash extensions.

Her beauty career began at The Aveda Fredric’s Institute, where she earned her cosmetology license in 2011. In 2013, she discovered what would become her true specialty: lashes. Since then, Karin has completed more than 10 advanced lash certifications with leading educators and brands, continually evolving her technique and knowledge alongside the industry.

Karin’s work has become centered around one simple belief: beautiful lashes should never come at the expense of comfort, integrity, or the health of your natural lashes.

That commitment ultimately led Karin to become an Opal Free Certified Professional and specialize in an entirely different approach to lash extensions.

Unlike traditional lash adhesives, which rely on cyanoacrylates and acrylates, the Opal Free system uses a light-cured adhesive formulated with epoxidized plant-oil resins and is free from cyanoacrylates, acrylates, latex, and formaldehyde. Combined with advanced application techniques and the BioComfort Method, Opal Free allows Karin to offer clients another option beyond conventional lash adhesive — particularly meaningful for those who have experienced sensitivities or simply want a more intentional approach to the products being used around their eyes.

For Karin, becoming Opal Free wasn't simply about changing adhesive. It was a natural evolution of the way she believes lash artistry should be practiced: with education, transparency, thoughtful product choices, and respect for the health and comfort of the person behind every set of lashes.

When she isn’t in the salon, Karin is usually rotating through her latest hobbies — whether that’s sourdough, the gym, puzzles, or gardening — or happily snuggled up at home with her family for a movie marathon.
